Art - Impressionism and its techniques

This workshop can be completed in oils or acrylics and will explore the use of bright, broken strokes of colour to create the effects of sunshine and weather which impressionists so skilfully conveyed.

Creative writing - Introduction

This course is for anyone who wants to write and will include practical writing exercises to start and help to get over the fear of the "blank page". It will also cover topics such as playing with verbs, acrostics, riddles, haiku, storyboards, memoir, avoiding cliché, dialogue, story prompts, character and showing not telling. Work will be shared to help inspire, support and create an anthology of work from the course.

History of Art

ICDL

The International Certification of Digital Literacy (ICDL) syllabus is designed to cover the key concepts of computing, its practical applications and their use in the workplace and society. It is suitable for anyone who already possesses basic IT skills. It is broken down into modules, each of which must be passed before an ICDL certificate is awarded. This course will look at how to get started with the tablet, how to download and use apps, books, games, browse the web, check and write emails. This course covers how to protect privacy and other security features.
