Using the knowledge learnt through practical skills and demonstration over the course, in the last two weeks the objective is to roll a clay slab, draw your image directly into the clay, cut out and join to make it 3D. Colour your model with under glaze and oxides. The cost of clay, kiln firings, coloured slips, underglaze and oxides has been included in the cost of this course.
To encourage and develop an interest and enjoyment in working with clay, and to develop a variety of techniques and skills in slipcasting, throwing, hand building and glazing.
To develop simple techniques of print making without a press to include monoprint, card, screenprint, lino and collagraph.
