Gentle yoga

At a gentle pace and in the Indian tradition we will learn relaxation, yoga asanas and yogic breathing (pranayma).

Yoga

Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word meaning to unite and therefore implies perfect harmony of body, mind and spirit. The course is suitable for every stage of yoga and aims to give knowledge of yoga and fitness and brings with it many benefits.

Yoga - Chair yoga

An easy going introduction to Yoga, from a seated position. A good way to unwind but gain suppleness and movement in a safe and social environment. This course is suitable for all levels of fitness. Gain similar de-stress and health benefits of Yoga in a social environment - by sitting on a chair! Suitable for people with a multitude of conditions such as arthritis, chronic fatigue, Crohn's, fibromyalgia: Move through every joint of the body with the breath to bring about a sense of calm

Yoga - Vinyasa Flow

A powerful and challenging style of yoga which involves transitioning from one pose to another. Time will be spent on the hands and knees as well as in standing and balancing poses. The sessions will build from the bottom up giving participants time to navigate the movement whilst developing greater strength and mobility along the way. Session will include relaxation; expect the usual ‘yoga glow’ feeling at the end!

Yoga for the over 50s

This course is designed to take into account the various aches and pains which accumulate as we get older. Learn some exercises to target trouble spots such as lower back pain, the techniques of relaxation, how to stretch safely to remain supple. Learn how to breathe with awareness which will give you mental focus and inner tranquility.

Yoga Light

A gentle class in which you explore all the aspects of traditional yoga, from movement and posture (asana) to breathing and relaxation. Beginners are welcome as well as people who consider themselves 'out of practice'. The aim is to encourage mobility and to teach stress relief and mental relaxation techniques - so, a calmer, healthier and more relaxed you.
