Appendix 3

The local authority has a duty to carry out financial assessments in certain circumstances. Financial assessments will be offered to everyone who is in receipt of a chargeable service that is not charged at a flat rate; to determine how much they can afford to pay.  

Appendix 4

Service users who think an error has been made with the calculation of their assessed charge; or think they have additional needs related expenditure that was not taken into account in the financial assessment, can request a review of their assessed charge.
