Progression and Assessment

Learner progression (opens in a new tab)  is an important driver for designing your curriculum. This is reflected in the statements of what matters and in the descriptions of learning for the Humanities (opens in a new tab), which help to provide more detailed guidance for practitioners. A carefully structured, rigorous, knowledge and skill rich RVE curriculum will ensure that progress will be made over time for all learners. Assessment should therefore be an intrinsic part of curriculum design and pedagogy. The RVE guidance gives suggested learning journeys (opens in a new tab) for each of the RVE sub lenses which will support with the sequencing of the curriculum in ensuring progression will be made.
