Pembrokeshire Eco Park

Stakeholder Update 2

Stakeholder Update 2 – March 2023

Following our first update in January we are now pleased to confirm Pembrokeshire County Council (PCC) has appointed Andrew Scott Limited (ASL) as our Principal Contractor to construct the Eco Park Phases 1 to 3:

  • Phase one: Recycling transfer facility, office facilities and associated access roads. For the bulking and transfer of materials, which will be stored on site for a limited period of time prior to transfer offsite for processing and disposal;
  • Phase two: Vehicle and staff parking area including a vehicle maintenance workshop and staff welfare facilities; and
  • Phase three: Residual waste and recycling transfer facility.

Current works onsite

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water (DCWW) and their approved contractor are currently undertaking the agreed diversion works (this work is undertaken by DCWW as a statutory undertaker (permitted development) and is outside of the planning permission).

Limited vegetation clearance is also being undertaken, overseen by ecologists, as part of the enabling work for the DCWW diversion and any required for development that was approved as part of the planning permission.

Site set up and enabling works are now complete, with the formation of the main site compound along with the initial delivery of equipment and machinery.

All of the pre commencement planning conditions have now been discharged and as such early stage construction activities have begun on site this week.
