The THI aims to revitalise the area by renovating and conserving its properties so that they can become more attractive and commercially viable. The Haverfordwest THI is a partnership project jointly funded by Pembrokeshire County Council, The Heritage Lottery Fund and Cadw.
Under the scheme over £2.65m in grant aid is being made available to refurbish historic properties within the town's Conservation Area, with a focus on Castle Square, High Street and Market Street.
Haverfordwest THI Phase One saw the completion of repairs or refurbishments to 23 properties, and it is hoped that a similar number will be completed under Phase Two.
The Townscape Heritage Initiative for Haverfordwest will produce a periodical newsletter to keep you up to date with the progress of the scheme and will be available online. We will also make hard copies available in the Library.
Other properties from within the project boundary that could benefit from the scheme are:
