Have your say

Preference for Welsh medium education in the Pembroke and Pembroke Dock area

Dear Parent / Carer

Children are an endless source of pleasure, but alongside the pleasure comes the responsibility on deciding on your child’s education – this will be one of the most important decisions that you will ever make.

We are seeking the views of parents / carers in the Pembroke and Pembroke Dock areas, on the language they would prefer their child/ren to be educated in.

Every child in Pembrokeshire has a right to Welsh medium education.

All parents/carers in Wales have the right to express a preference to send their children to a school which offers Welsh medium education – this option is available to both Welsh and non-Welsh speaking families.

As a result of the Welsh Government’s commitment to developing Wales into a completely bilingual nation, there is more demand today than ever before for bilingual skills in the workplace.

Assessing demand

By completing this survey you will be helping us to plan and deliver education services which meet the needs and wishes of as many parents in the Pembroke and Pembroke Dock areas as possible.

Please be aware that the information you provide will be treated confidentially and handled in accordance with all data protection protocols.  Your responses will be held and used for statistical purposes only.
