how it works

You may think that fostering is a case of taking a child under your care, and that’s it. But you’re never in this alone with Foster Wales Pembrokeshire.

With us, you will have access to our incredible support teams. Dedicated people wanting to make a difference just like you. They will always be on hand with guidance, advice and help for you.

Support – it’s what we do. For the children in our care. For their foster families. And for the skilled professionals who work with all of us every day.

Our support is only so good because of how we operate. Comprised of 22 non-profit Local Authorities, everything Foster Wales does is for the people. We don’t think about margins or capital. We care about helping, supporting and caring.

what makes us different

We’re not your standard fostering agency. Foster Wales is the nationwide collective of the 22 Local Authority fostering teams in Wales.

We strongly believe in keeping the children we care for connected to their community. While we obviously take everything into consideration for the child’s wellbeing, having that relationship to their localities can often really help. Building upon the relationships they already have is important to us, and we facilitate this as best we can. It’s about understanding, caring and doing what’s best for each individual child. And as a foster parent with Foster Wales Pembrokeshire, you’re what makes that possible.
