You will support in developing innovative digital solutions using Internet of Things (IOT) technologies for the Council. This role will see you using analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver systems in line with the current standards in digital technology and web based services. You will also assist by providing advice and support both troubleshooting and implementing digital solutions across the Authority. You should exhibit a passion and knowledge of the latest emerging digital and web technologies with experience of IOT technologies being favourable.
We are seeking an IOT Engineer who will be responsible for the deployment, maintenance and security of the council network infrastructure including Internet of Things (IOT) technologies across all areas of the Authority. In this role you will work closely with the Senior Network Engineer using your knowledge of networking and the latest innovations in IOT, security and performance to monitor, assess and improve the network infrastructure.
This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to champion use of technology throughout the Council. You will work closely with different services areas within the Authority to understand their unique needs and current processes. You will then use problem-solving skills to provide recommendations for IT Digital development projects that improve business efficiency and digital integration across the Council. Fantastic interpersonal and communication skills are essential in this role in both the work partnering with various service areas and in influencing stakeholders to support business projects.
