Course Details

Collage and sculpture

An inspirational and creative course to develop your own experimental art form which will result in two finished pieces: a collage and a sculpture. Plenty of help and guidance given. No experience necessary just a willingness to play. Beginners to advanced. The course will cover: Collage - Students will be encouraged to explore the qualities and techniques of mark making such as: marbling, printing, spray paints and stencils, image transfer techniques and drawing from observation. The final result will be a collaged based composition developed from the process of these results and the students own ideas to develop further into stage two. Sculpture - Students will experiment with collage making techniques and work on ideas and designs to create an object made from recycled and mixed media materials and work produced from the collages. During the course we will look at contemporary artists such as Mark Hearld and Grayson Perry for inspiration.
