The Constitution sets out how the Authority operates, the various bodies which make up the Authority, how decisions are made and the procedures which are followed.
Some of these processes are required by the law, while others are a matter for the Council to choose.
The Council has adopted a revised Constitution which came into effect on 18 November 2016 and has been updated in January 2018, June 2019 and January 2020 following Constitutional changes adopted by Council.
