Course content

Did you enjoy drawing at school? When did you last do a drawing? Would you like to find your drawing mojo once again? Our tutor will lead participants through a series of tasks designed to build confidence and practical skills working with a variety of drawing materials. You’ll explore and practice observational drawing techniques and you’ll learn how to apply your knowledge of the elements of art to create drawings which truly express your feelings. No prior knowledge is required

Bring to class

Sample materials for use in the classroom will be provided by the tutor each week. However if you wish to continue projects at home it may be helpful if the following were purchased as the course progresses: A simple plastic A3 portfolio to collate, store and protect your work. Cartridge paper / Sketchpad / coloured pastel papers 2B, 3B, 4B, 5B and 6B pencils A pencil sharpener A black fine liner Charcoal pieces Pastel pencils
