Child Trafficking Workshop

Designed for:

This half day workshop is aimed at professionals who work with children in different settings including social care, police, education, health, immigration, law enforcement, youth justice and non-statuary agencies.


Course aim:

The training will cover the definition of child trafficking, the National Referral Mechanism, indicators of child trafficking and different forms of exploitation, resources available to professionals and examples of good practice across the country. The above content will be delivered in an interactive mode using case studies, DVD and art work created by young people.


Learning Objectives:

  • Demonstrate awareness of child trafficking and procedures to be followed in cases of child trafficking.
  • Recognise the different forms of exploitation as listed in the government guidance and apply it to assessment of non UK Citizen children.
  • Demonstrate awareness of the national picture of the different trends and patterns of child trafficking based on National Crime Agency and NSPCC statistics
