There are a number of national charities that work with the Armed Forces, their Families, Reservists and Veterans.

Recognition

There are a number of Discount cards available for Veterans:

  • Veteran’s Discount Card (opens in a new tab)
  • Blue Light Card (opens in a new tab)
  • Veteran ID Card (opens in a new tab)
    • Veterans can now apply for a Veteran Card
    • The Veteran Card application service is open as of 28th of January 2024
    • Thousands who left the forces before December 2018 are eligible to apply. Those eligible can verify their veteran status online with a new digital application service to receive a Veteran Card through the post. A paper-based application process is also available as an alternative to the digital system.
    • The cards confirm veteran status and simplify access to support services
