Armed Forces Covenant
On his recent appointment as Pembrokeshire County Council’s Armed Forces Champion, Cllr. John Cole said: “I am honoured to be appointed to Champion the Armed Forces Covenant community within Pembrokeshire County Council. I believe that this is about enabling and promoting a commitment in both our rural and urban communities to provide the right support at the right time for all members of the Armed Forces and their families”.
If you are a member of the Armed Forces (Regular or Reserve), a veteran, family member or widow(er), then Pembrokeshire County Council and partners are committed to providing easy access to the information and support that you may need.
In partnership with regional colleagues we have attracted funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Trust Fund, employing a regional Armed Forces Liaison Officer whose role is to work collaboratively with statutory and non-statutory bodies in order to ensure that individuals are treated fairly and not disadvantaged through their service in the Armed Forces. This same funding source now provides for increasing the information and support available to Veterans and their families across the County through a Hub established at VC Gallery in Haverfordwest and Pembroke Dock.
