  • Disability Living Allowance with Mobility Component at the Higher Rate
  • Personal Independence Payment with Mobility Component at the Enhanced Rate
  • War Disablement Pension
  • Vision Impaired Persons are also entitled to concessionary travel

Initial Registration and issue of vouchers will be made following receipt of:

(Applicants with their own vehicle should provide a copy of their Certificate of Entitlement to either PIP or DLA at the relevant rate)

Any applicants in receipt of Disability Living Allowance at the time of application who subsequently move to the PIP benefit must produce further proof of entitlement following the transfer. Periodically you will be asked for updated paperwork to confirm your continued entitlement to the concession.

Following registration onto the scheme, applicants will receive 50 tickets - one of which will be stamped "REAPPLICATION". This ticket should not be used for a crossing. To obtain a further supply of tickets this "Reapplication" should be returned to the office at the Cleddau Bridge, together with a stamped addressed envelope. In normal circumstances this new supply of tickets will be sent to your home address within 14 days of the re-application being received. The issue of tickets is unlimited.

RULES OF ISSUE

  1. The person to whom the tickets are issued MUST be in the vehicle at the time of crossing and their blue badge MUST be produced.
  2. If the named person is not in the vehicle or the blue badge is not produced upon request the full toll will be payable and other sanctions (See 4 below) may apply.
  3. Concessionary tickets will not be accepted as payment for any towed vehicle such as a caravan or boat. Such towed vehicles must be paid for in the normal manner. Trailers specifically adapted for the carriage of invalid chairs are permissible but for any such crossings two vouchers will be required – one for the car and one for the trailer.
  4. The disabled person must not, under any circumstances, pass any free ticket to a third party. Any breach of this regulation will result in:-

a) The full toll payable being payable either by cash or pre-paid voucher.

b) Withdrawal of the concession from the person concerned, except where theft has been reported prior to the use of the ticket.
