The Pembrokeshire Federation is the outcome of the decision to move to Federated working across the County. The full partners in the North Federation are Tasker Milward School, Sir Thomas Picton School, Pembrokeshire College, Portfield Special School, Ysgol Bro Gwaun (Fishguard) and Ysgol Dewi Sant (St Davids). Ysgol y Preseli is an associated member. The full partners in the South Federation are Milford Haven School, The Greenhill School, Pembroke School, Pembrokeshire College. Portfield Special School & Ysgol y Preseli are associated members.
The key notion of federated working is to enable greater student choice and flexibility through collaborative working. The Federation provides an opportunity for students to meet in a wider social group, share experiences and develop the confidence that they will need for further study or employment later.
These arrangements are part of the Welsh Assembly Government, Learning and Skills Measure to guarantee students a minimum entitlement to a broad curriculum.
