Welcome to the Summer Term Governor Training Programme

The Programme is designed:

to help individual governors with their role and
to develop the work of a Governing Body as a whole through helping you with reviewing your current work and with planning for the future.

We hope you will find time to look through this term's training programme, and will choose to attend a course. We hope the statistics and comments on last year's training may encourage you!

In the event of there being no training to meet your needs, or the needs of your governing body, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Please let us know if you intend coming on a course.

Knowing you intend coming may prevent us cancelling a course because we think there are insufficient applicants
We will contact you if we need to cancel or re-arrange a course but we can only do this if we know you intend coming

How to apply for courses

You can apply using the online booking form below. Alternatively you can apply using the application form enclosed with the Programme that has been sent to you.

In order to allow presenters to prepare sufficient materials, please do not attend a course without contacting us first. This will also allow us to contact you if we need to cancel a course for any reason.

Training for whole governing bodies can be arranged by contacting us at Governors' Support Services when we can discuss your particular requirements.

There is no charge for any courses.

Refreshments will be available prior to the start of all training courses, unless otherwise stated.
