What is abuse?
Abuse is something that is done to another person, without their full understanding or consent that harms them in some way.
Anyone can be an abuser – abuse can happen anywhere.
It can include one or more of the following:
1. Physical abuse
2. Financial abuse
3. Sexual abuse
4. Emotional / psychological abuse

What you should do?
If the person is in immediate danger, for example of a serious assault, you should telephone the Police on 999.
If not in immediate danger phone 01437 764551 and ask for the Adult Protection Team. Monday to Friday during office hours.
