Physical and Sensory Disabilities

The Physical and Sensory Disabilities Service provides assessment for people of all ages who have a permanent and substantial disability with long term needs.  To receive services people need to be registered or eligible to be  registered as disabled.   Every local authority in required to maintain a register of people with disabilities.

We offer a wide range of services for disabled people with physical and sensory impairments. Our main purpose is to work to remove barriers which exclude people from full participation in their community and to promote independence.  You may need equipment to help with everyday tasks or adaptations to your home to help you get about more easily.   We can offer an assessment of your needs and advice.

The Disabilities Team can only assess the person's principal residence.
