What is Supporting People?
Supporting People is a government funded programme which is committed to providing a better quality of life for vulnerable people by supporting them to live independently.
The Supporting People programme pays for housing related support services that enable vulnerable people to gain greater independence and to continue to live in their own home or to retain their tenancy.
The Supporting People Team within Pembrokeshire County Council works in partnership with a wide range of statutory, voluntary and private sector agencies in order to ensure the highest quality services are provided. Pembrokeshire's Supporting People Team does not provide support directly, instead we contract with more than 10 support providers who between them operate over 25 housing related support services. Approximately 1100 people in Pembrokeshire access these services at any one time.
