How the Board is held to account

In order to ensure democratic accountability, the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act requires that a designated scrutiny committee of the local authority scrutinises the work of the Public Services Board.  In Pembrokeshire, this function will be undertaken by the Partnerships Overview and Scrutiny Committee (opens new window) Partnerships Overview and Scrutiny Committee.

Specifically, the Partnerships Overview and Scrutiny Committee will scrutinise the following in relation to the Pembrokeshire Public Services Board;

  • Development and production of the local Well-being Assessment
  • Development and production of the Well-being Plan for Pembrokeshire
  • PSB Annual Plan
  • PSB activity and progress in delivering its priorities
  • Requiring any member or invited participant of the PSB to attend and give evidence (only in respect of the exercise of joint functions conferred on them as members of the PSB)
