An eleven-year-old schoolgirl from Spittal has been congratulated for reaching the finals of the British National Junior Wheelchair Basketball Championships.
Libi Phillips was part of the Wales Under-15 wheelchair basketball team playing in the championships at the University of Worcester Arena.
They narrowly lost by three points in the final against the South East of England - but have been deservedly praised for being the first Wales team to win a medal at the national championships.
Angela Miles, the disability sport officer for Pembrokeshire, said: "This is a fantastic achievement for Libi who has only been playing the sport for just over three years.
"She was the youngest member of the team and has a further four years to progress in this age group."
