After St Davids missed out on the City of Culture shortlist announced on Friday, Pembrokeshire County Council's Cabinet Member for Economy, Tourism, Leisure and Development, Councillor Paul Miller, said:
"As a partnership, we are clearly disappointed that our bid to make St Davids and the Hundred of Dewisland the UK City of Culture 2021 has not been shortlisted.
"However we are determined that the partnerships created as part of the stage I process and the many ideas generated with our communities and other stakeholders will not be lost.
"St Davids is a very special place and we will continue to seek opportunities to showcase St Davids and Pembrokeshire to the world."
"We would like to congratulate the shortlisted cities, in particular Swansea, and we wish them well with their stage 2 bids."
