Art - Drawing & painting

To develop the potential which everyone has to draw well from observation. To teach methods of drawing which are useful for oil painting and others which relate to water colour painting. To learn oil, acrylic, gouache and water colour techniques and make finished paintings in these media.

Art drawing

Teaches basic techniques of drawing through use of pencil and charcoal. Still life, portraits and landscape. Provides visual stimulation in order to encourage students to observe and develop a personal style.

Belly dancing

To introduce students to a range of belly dance moves. Improves fitness & balance and facilitates creative physical expression.

Developing e-mail and online skills

Using technology for communication is fast, efficient and popular. This course covers managing an e-mail account, searching the internet and working with image and media files. Accreditation available.

Digital employability

The new Digital Employability qualification covers the digital skills that learners need to apply for jobs, to work in a 21st century environment and to participate as digital citizens. They'll gain the core knowledge they need to use IT in different contexts, particularly in the workplace. They'll know how to use the Internet effectively and safely, work with different devices and process data.

Digital literacy - Safety and privacy online

To enable learners to work online in a safe and responsible manner with an awareness of their personal digital footprint.

Discovering the digital world

This course is suitable for learners who have a good knowledge of using ICT. This course will enable you to enhance your digital literacy skills and apply them to a range of applications. This is a course to feed your curiosity - learning new skills; Digital Collaboration, Digital Responsibility, Digital Creativity and Digital Learning as well as consolidating skills you may already have. You will also develop your existing skills of Microsoft Office and file management. At the beginning of each term the course objectives are discussed and decided.

Dressmaking - intermediate and advanced

For people who have some experience in dressmaking and want to improve their skills with an experienced seamstress to teach new techniques and give advice on new projects.

Dressmaking and soft furnishings

This course aims to make sewing a pleasure and can cover making clothes, alterations and making curtains & cushions.

Dressmaking for beginners

Have fun learning how to make your own clothes from scratch. Basic sewing skills preferred but not essential.

Driftwood

Transform driftwood and natural seashore finds into objects such as mobiles, picture frames and beach games.

Dynamic Yoga

Dynamic Vinyasa Flow Yoga links the breath with movement to challenge and tone the body whilst calming the mind. Develop postures to improve balance, strength and flexibility and encourage mindfulness in movement of the body and through life.
