Employment Coach - Workways 1166-4094 |
| Personnel Services |
| Development Centre, London Road, Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire, SA72 6TT |
| £17161 - £21519 |
This post is temporary to cover maternity leave. Secondments will be considered, please seek prior approval from your line manager before applying. 'Workways' is an innovative new South West Wales regional project aimed at enabling long term unemployed and economically inactive people to secure sustainable employment. We are now in the process of building the team to deliver the 'Workways' project within Pembrokeshire. Your role will be to directly support clients by identifying their needs and developing a personalised programme of assistance. This will take the form, for example, of coaching in job search skills / guidance, soft skills development, motivational sessions to build confidence, and working with colleagues in the Employer Engagement team to identify suitable employment opportunities. We are looking for someone with comparable experience of delivering similar support to job seekers. You must be a 'people person' who can relate to individuals from a variety of backgrounds, and have the ability to provide practical, tailored advice and guidance. Ideally you will hold an NVQ 3 in Advice and Guidance / Counselling (or an equivalent qualification). You will have a good understanding of the local labour market and strong desire to help people back into work. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team and engage in a project that is designed to make a positive difference to people's lives. Workways is part funded by the European Social Fund through the Convergence programmes for West Wales and the Valleys 2007-2013. A Criminal Records Bureau disclosure will be required. |
